VeeColorizer: Utility for adding color info to the detail view of VEE progs (for better readability).

Question asked by VRFuser on Jun 11, 2001
Richard,

you're right, the section about Perl for Win32 is not very clear.
Perl is an interpreter for the Perl language - a programming language which
is designed for
text file processing. Perl programs ("scripts") are text files (*.pl) which
are run by the perl interpreter.

An old, but working version of Perl can be found
at
http://www.cpan.org/ports/win32/Standard/x86/perl5.00402-bindist04-bc.zip.
Download this and
unpack it for example in "c:Perl", run INSTALL.BAT and reboot (to update
your global
PATH variable).

Unpack the VeeColorizer package into another folder, e.g. "c:VeeColorizer".
Now you can run "perl c:veecolorizerveecolorizer.pl" at the DOS command
prompt.
This gives a short usage information.
To paint a Vee program named c:     est.vee, type "perl
c:veecolorizerveecolorizer.pl c:     est.vee" at the command prompt.

I will try to create an .exe from the veecolorizer.pl file to simplify
handling.

Rolf,
Could you send me additional information such as; More information
about Perl for Win32. Also the readme file does not include information as
to where the files are to be placed.

PS: If this works, it will save me about 10 - 12 hours per TPS ( Test
Program Set)

           << File: VeeColorizer-0.92.zip >> Hello all,

the attached utility paints VEE objects automatically in
different colors (depending on the object type).
This increases readability a lot -
colorizing your programs takes only a few seconds!

          Hope you like it,
