First, check if data is available on your serial port (DAV, from I/O --> Advanced I/O --> Interface Event). When data is available, from a Direct IO object, do a "READ BINARY x BYTE". If you want to convert this byte in a hex string, you can run it thru a "to String" object using "WRITE TEXT a HEX".
