vrf VRF Problem

Question asked by VRFuser on Nov 7, 2003
Hi vrf-ers,

Nic and I are seeing more and more problems with posting delays, bounces, error messages from our server, etc, and they appear to be related to using the address we originally advised:

vrf@it.lists.it.agilent.com

There is a simpler address that seems much more reliable:

vrf@agilent.com

Please put the new address into your address books and use it from now on for vrf submissions.

Until all vrf-ers have changed over, you might also wish to look at the address generated when you hit Reply, and change it if the sender has used the old address. Maybe even send that person a _polite_ reminder.

Georg Nied just reported a couple of delayed postings, which is what triggered this posting. I see that he sent to the older address.

We've modified the sign-up pages to give the new address, and the standard footer also advises that you use the new address. Check it out.

Sorry for this inconvenience, but the folks who run the server aren't able to identify the cause of this problems in Agilent's very complex network. The new address just seems a lot more reliable, so let's minimize our pain by using the new address.

Best Regards,

Scott Bayes
