vrf Problems with Charts in Excel

Question asked by VRFuser on Feb 22, 2004
Hi everyone,

I have been using Excel to display some S-Parameter Data.  I set up 8 individual sheets to store the data.  These sheets are named S11Mag, S11Phase, S12Mag, S12Phase, S21Mag, S21Phase, S22Mag, and S22Phase.  Using VEE I have been able to make a chart for each individual Sheet using the data in each.  However when I go to place the chart in the appropriate Sheet I have problems.  I recorded a macro in Excel to move the chart and it gave me the following:

Sub Macro1()
'
' Macro1 Macro
' Macro recorded 2/23/2004 by Raymond Taylor
'
    ActiveChart.Location Where:=xlLocationAsObject, Name:="S12Mag"
End Sub

In VEE I converted this to the following command:

ExcelApp.ActiveChart.Location(xlLocationAsObject,"S12Mag");

What happens is that no matter what I put in the Name position it always places the chart in the first sheet or S11Mag.  I changed the command to,

ExcelApp.ActiveChart.Location(xlLocationAsObject,"S33Mag");

and the VEE program complains that it does recognize "S33Mag".  This lets me know that the second argument is being read, just not being used.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
