Saw it the other way round:
We had severe timing problems last year using LabVIEW 6 with an elderly PCI
AD/DA board - with VEE 4/6 and .dll, it was running full speed according to
datasheet.
Didn't get any further useful information on that, but you may check if
enough memory is available and if your swapping disk is slow.
