The following code will return the version of Excel.

Subject: [vrf] Re: Office version (activeX) HELP!

I have not had a response, maybe the question was unclear.

I use Vee 6.2.  The activeX automation example Word97DataSheet.vee does not
work properly with Office XP, because the FOUND parameter has the opposite
polarity compared to previous versions of office.  Ain't that grand???
Anyway, I use a similar function, and would like my program to check with
activeX object library is installed.  If 10.0, I need it to invert the
FOUND parameter.  But how do I find out programmatically what version is
installed?

I have an activeX function that behaves differently with office 2000 and
office XP.  How can I find out (programmatically) which version is
installed on a machine so I can set an appropriate switch?
