vrf Selecting the VEE version

Question asked by VRFuser on Apr 5, 2004
Yes there is.

Bring up a command prompt window and type "set".  This will return all the
currently defined environment variables.

The ones you want are:
USERNAME - who's logged in
USERPROFILE - path to where the users profile is stored.

These values can be retrieved with the built-in function getEnv(envStr).
Ie: getEnv("USERNAME") ...

Hope this helps,

Mike

Subject: [vrf] Information About Current User

Hi vrf,

My platform for VEE (Version 6.01) is Windows 2000 (with some different
users). Is there a possibility in VEE to get information about the current
user (like there is for getting the current operating system via whichOS() ?
I would need this information for automatically installing files into user
specified directories.

Thank you for your help.
