vrf GPIB just stops responding

I'm using Vee 6.x and Win2k with an NI PCI-GPIB (I can't get an   Agilent card, I'd much rather have one though) I'm using the NI GPIB drivers   with Agilent IO drivers as secondary. After some number of calls to my   instruments the card just stops responding. So I'm completely confused as to   what to do? Should I just go and install WinNT? Is there a diver that I should   switch to using?
