Did anyone succeed in getting their sound card to be able to act as a
digitizer for sounds, under VEE?
For example I can use Sound Recorder to create a WAV file from my
sounds, in this case the output from a Digital Noise Generator chip,
and play it back the same way. The screen in the device shows the
waveform that it thinks the sound output created. But that's a
rudimentary example of digital sound processing and storage. I would
still need to use an external program to translate the WAV file, into
something that VEE would be able to read. And then, obviously use the
specialty digital signal processing functions to work on the sounds.
I would greatly prefer to be able to use the sound card, to digitize
the sounds, and then have VEE grab the data, and work the data into
those functions.
Suggestions, anyone? On or off list.
