vrf vrf:Excel XValue Problem

Question asked by detlef.baranski on Apr 15, 2004
Sorry Bernhardt, i can not understand this.
Here is the whole sample of the formula creat chart:
rangeStr = "A2:A" + (totsize(data)/2+1);
set range = sheet.Range(rangeStr);
set chart = sheet.ChartObjects.Add(100,100,width,height);
book.ActiveChart.SetSourceData(range, xlColumns);
str = "=Sheet1!R2C2:R" + (totsize(data)+1)  + "C2";
//"=Tabelle1!Z2S2:Z" + (totsize(data)+1)  + "S2" ;           <---- your code
//book.ActiveChart.SeriesCollection(1).XValues = str;     <---- original one
book.ActiveChart.HasLegend = asVariantBool(0);
book.ActiveChart.Export(filename, "jpg");

If i use your hint, then the line before would be not necessary. And there
is a difference in x=a and a=x , or not ?
What is the purpose of .XValues ?? Can not find it in my object

And Greg, with your VXL program- are there also any problems with different
language prefs of Excel ?

Thanks a lot for your inputs,

Hello Detlef,

for german EXCEL the formula for the Xvalues has to be:
str = "=Tabelle1!Z2S2:Z" + (totsize(data)+1)  + "S2";

This works.
