vrf TEK/NI 2004 Automated Test Summit - VEE/COM objects

Question asked by VRFuser on May 17, 2004
Since we're talking VEE OBJECTS as WINDOWS OBJECTS, is it possible to create
an object from a VEE file that uses a VEE library without embedding the lib?

You _could_ use the T&M Toolkit to create a .NET wrapper for a VEE program
and then expose that .NET object as a COM object.  You would not need to do
the COM step if you are using Visual Studio 2002 or 2003, only for Visual
Studio 6 (VB).

Take a look at the Agilent ToolKit for ".NET", something about a wrapper...

Shawn, if you say it cannot be done, I shall throw away my Visual Studio.

Create a COM object with VEE? Phew! It might be possible, but man, I don't
know that it would be worth the extraordinary hurt.
