vrf vrf:Excel XValue Problem -- plus Web-site

Question asked by detlef.baranski on Apr 14, 2004
Hello Detlef,

for german EXCEL the formula for the Xvalues has to be:
str = "=Tabelle1!Z2S2:Z" + (totsize(data)+1)  + "S2";

This works.

Best regards

Sorry, Shawn,
it is not mine.

I am more or less a rookie

But it helps me a lot in understanding Vee. It is from a german VEE - FAN
which nickname is bratbaecker, and i do not know if he is on this
Maybe a translation is usefull ? But many of these things can be seen at
preciseelectro, too...

But of course, i love his web-design, too !

For those germans who are not so familiar with english, there is a german
Vee- Mailinglist , too.
Interesse Mail an: .

Coming back to Excel Prob:

Thanks, Andrew.
I did change the system-preferences to English-British ( so that , is. and .
is , ) , but there is no change of the problem.
The line which makes this prob is:

book.ActiveChart.SeriesCollection(1).XValues = str;

I can not change Excel 97 to an english version.

Program attached...

Wow! Great file Detlef. Thanks.

Is that your VEE site? I like the part about "no cookies, no jscript, no
frames" Looks great - I just wish I could read German. Bable does a
decent job though.

Say I have one little gripe with the text of the help file. When discussing
binding, it says that late binding is declaring an object of specific class.
This is a typo. Late binding occurs when you declare an object of
*inspecific* class, then assign a specific object to it.
