I want my software to find out if the 6 GHz option is installed on a 8753
networkanalyzer.
Is there a command that makes the analyzer tell if the option is installed?
Until now I switch to 6 GHz, set the stop frequency to 6 GHz and check the
frequency back. This works, but I wonder if someone found a smarter way?

That may be a good way. Sometimes there is a *OPT? command, or a tag in a
*IDN?
query. I don't know the 8753 specifically. Other times you have to send a
command that is only available in the option and see if an error occurs.
Looks like you found a method that works.
