>From Explorer, select Tools->Folder Options. Click the "File Types" tab. It
will probably take a while to analyze all the types listed. When it gets
done, scroll down to VEE in the left hand column. If it's there, select it
and click Edit. In the dialog that pops up, Look at the "Actions" list.
There will be something like Edit, Start, Run or Open. The highlighted one
should be Open. Select it and click "Edit". In the "Application used to
perform action:" edit box you should see the path to VEE Pro.
If VEE File isn't listed in the "Registered file types" list, click "New
Type...". Description should be "VEE File", Associated extension should be
".vee". In the "Actions" list, Click "New...". In the "Action" edit box,
type in "Open". In the "Application used to perform action" edit box, enter
the path to VEE Pro or click "Browse" and navigate to VEE Pro.
That should do it.

There is a double quote missing somewhere along the line. Spaces are evil. I
know MS says they're not, but it's a lie. They are.
The "Application used to perform action" must read as such:
"c:Program FilesAgilentVEE Pro 6.2vee.exe" "%1"
Naturally the path to VEE has to match your installation. The quotes around
the second part have been lost.

Having followed Shawn's instructions, you will notice that the path to VEE
Pro is followed by a space, then the characters: %1
........make sure that these charactures are enclosed in quotes, like this:
"%1"

Hello again,
here is the message VEE sent to me, when I was trying to open the attached
VEE from Kevin.Hasselquist@nokia.com of 26.6.04: Coloralarm2.vee by
"double-click":
<>
The real path should have read: C:WINDOWSTemporary Internet Files...,
which sent me to the idea to omit the spaces: "nuts".
This may explain, what I mean with "omitting the header of the path"(the
underlined has been omitted). Replacing the spaces by other characters
leads to similar effects:
Part of the leading path-sequence is left out.
Quite a strange behaviour of "old WIN98" (?!)

Any 9x (including ME) is DOS based. That's why I call 'em "fake". It's still
a problem for any NT too though. The command processor uses a space for a
delimiter and hence all the problems.
