vrf AW: Vee - Memory "Leak"

Question asked by aufenanger on Jul 1, 2004
Hi Mark,

thats the best way. We do that all the time and it is the only help in
several Memory leak problems VEE has (there are several). If you unload the
library the memory goes back to normal.

Very best regards

As George I didn't have time to test this but you might try putting the
allocation into an imported library and when you are done, delete the
library, which should hopefully delete the memory allocation.

Good Luck,

Mark

Try to put the allocation object into a user object (or function).
I suppose that the allocated memory (that should be the data at the
alloc-out-pin) is freed when the user object/function terminates.

I didn't test it... just a guess

Georg

Yes - that seems to make sense but how can I prevent this?
I.e. if I only want to allocate ONE array of the appropriate size
and assign it to a variable.. I never intended to do a "copy" operation.
Alternatively how do I delete the initial array once I have copied
it to a variable?
