Oi! Well, other than setting desktop themes I've never heard of such stuff
happening. With anything! Hopefully the light bulb will go on and everything
will become obvious at some point. I dunno though! It could be a support
nightmare.

12 Aug. I haven't found anything that might explain the situation and I
haven't started any of the re-installations suggested via the
Reflector. None-the-less, the situation is improving. At this point my
Vee application will run under "Guest" privileges and I probably
wouldn't know anything was wrong if I didn't look at the screen
carefully. However, the display still has some odd characteristics -
for the most part they are all labels and buttons that don't have their
text. In one case there are two labels side-by-side on the display and
generated by identical code within the same application block; one has
text and the other doesn't. Odd.

and the other not. At any rate I saw this at my PC. I'd see one thing
during development and another during deployment. I used a little overkill
and embedded the graphic directory into the project and used a VS front end
that called the vxe. Somehow, the graphics must be locatable by the vxe.
I called Agilent and did not get a good answer to this one, since I wanted
the loaded project to be relocate able by the user.
If your demands are not as persnickety then use the directory the vxe points
for all graphics, whatever that is.
Hope I'm helping.

Subject: [vrf] Windows user issue (?) update
Here's some more on the strange Windows "User" issue I reported around
12 Aug. I haven't found anything that might explain the situation and I
haven't started any of the re-installations suggested via the Reflector.
None-the-less, the situation is improving. At this point my Vee application
will run under "Guest" privileges and I probably wouldn't know anything was
wrong if I didn't look at the screen carefully. However, the display still
has some odd characteristics - for the most part they are all labels and
buttons that don't have their text. In one case there are two labels
side-by-side on the display and generated by identical code within the same
application block; one has text and the other doesn't. Odd.

Nothing that I know of and this machine is not one that attracts
visitations from the general public. I still find it strange that only
Vee applications appear to be affected.
