Hello,

Dump your data into Excel Sheet, using Excel sort function...then
Read your data back. You need to create a template.

I have never created a 'mixed' array in VEE.  Arrays typically hold fixed
data types (real, integer, text).

ASCII text data is always sorted left to right by its numeric value in
ascending or decending order..

space!"#$%&'()*+,-./0123456789:;<=>?@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ[]^_`abcdefg
hijklmnopqrstuvwxyz{|}~
which corresponds to 32 thru 126. Below 32 and 127 are non-printable control
characters.

Gee, and I thought that was an easy question.

The help doesn't say. In the absence of any data, it's probably safe to
assume that sort() basically calls the CRT qsort() function. This function
calls a user-supplied comparison function to determine order. The question
is how does this function behave in VEE. It operates on VDCs so it's aware
of type, and that probably triggers different comparison statements.

I don't know the answer, but I'm willing to bet that numbers are sorted
numerically and strings are sorted lexically by the user locale (hopefully).
Failing that by the system locale.

The CRT is locale aware, but Windows does a better job of it with it's
CompareString function.
