Alex,

OK, I didn't read your post clearly enough. I see you want this done
"automatically". I'm not sure how to do this without directly editing
the .VEE program file.

Shawn, when running a .VXE file, doesn't ProgramName() give you the
.VXE file name and not the name of the original .VEE file it was made
from?

Cheers,
Mike Groves

Hi Axel,

In your Main Panel, select Properties and set the "Execution Window Title"
to
(in your case) "Test07", "Test 7.00", or whatever you would like displayed.
When you create and run your .VXE file, (or run the .VEE file with the -r
command-line option), that text will be displayed in the title bar of the
running program.

Cheers,
Mike Groves

Subject: [vrf] Source File Name in Executable

Hi there,
is there a convenient way to get automatically the file name of the file the
runtime version is created from to be shown in the executable?

For a better understanding:
I create a file 'c:     emp     est07.vee', from that I create an executable
'test.vxe'. Now I want to see - e.g. in an alphanumeric display - a message:
'Source file: c:     emp     est07.vee'. When I create 'test.vxe' from
'c:     emp     est08.vee' it should be shown 'Source file: c:     emp     est08.vee'
without manual changes of the alphanumeric display of the source file .

Thanks for an answer in advance,
with best regards,
Axel
