I am running version 3.2 VEE under Windows 95. Connected to this computer is
a HP 8720 C Vector Network Analyzer. I am trying to download the calibration
coefficients from the network analyzer to my host computer. This is exactly
what is shown in a demonstration program that shipped with VEE (
Hewlett-PackardVEE 3.2examplesinstr_io8720cal.vee ).
This demo program does not work for me. When I run it an error occurs on the
following Direct I/O box:
WRITE TEXT "OUTPUTCALC01;" EOL
READ BINBLOCK X REAL64
A dialog box is then shown with the following error message (note the
misspelling of "elemen"):
"Int32 value is out of range for number of bytes to allocate. This data
container is limited to 26843455 elemen"
Any advice on how to get this to work would be most appreciated.
Thanks,

Did you set the binblock format to the correct one for this instrument?
There are 4 formats available in VEE. IEEE488 formats #A, #I or #T and
IEEE488.2
It is specified in the Direct I/O Config
