Tidying up when VEE program terminates

Question asked by VRFuser on May 5, 1996
Hello everyone

I have a VEE application that needs to do some tidying up on
termination. This tidying up includes writing some data to a

In order to do this I can implement my own STOP button (which is a
Confirm(OK) button located on the user panel) which performs the
necessary tasks.

However I am unable to do this tidying up if the user clicks the STOP
button on the toolbar.

Is there any way of performing certains tasks when the STOP button is
clicked ?

Is there any way of disabling/hiding the STOP button ?

Thanks in advance

The "interface" is based on VEE writing out a file and PVWave reading it
in. PVWave knows how to read a VEE container format file if you want to
deal with ASCII numbers. Beyond that, you can do stuff more elegant with
pipes or sockets, but you have to code that up on the PVWave side using
their language.

This has very little to do with the lab - it's mostly a marketing "thing".

Hi Bill

Just saw yet another mention of the supposed PV-WAVE interface from VEE 3.2,
so I just had to write.

I have seen this mentioned many times but I have never been able to get any
information about what it is or how to use it!

Does this interface actually exist? If so how do I use it? Is there
documentation somewhere?

I ask as the capability could be very useful for us here.
