I am having troubles figuring out what the problem is here.  I tried to
put a NotePad on the display and added text until it had scrollbars ... I
generated a Message Box popup over the top of it and when it went away, the
NotePad was unchanged.

Then I wrote a little program to force a Logging Alphanumeric to scroll
continuously, updated with the time, along with a second parallel program to
generate a popup.  In this configuration, the popup simply would flash up
and then vanish while the AlphaNumeric spun on its merry little way.

So I merged the two programs as separate branches.  When I generated the
popup, it stopped the AlphaNumeric (to be expected); when I got rid of it,
the AlphaNumeric started clocking time where it left off.

Now I don't see how I could get the popup to fall on the scrollbars at the
edge of the VEE border in any reasonable way, since it normally comes up
more or less centered.

So, enlighten me, please ... do you have a little example with some notes
that can give me a path to the problem.
