VRf: SICL internal error, workaround

Question asked by VRFuser on May 19, 1997
We have come up with a "work around" for this problem.

We added an extra direct I/O object in front of the first
legitimate direct I/O object for the serial port. This
dummy just does an execute reset and has an ERROR
pin which is not tied to anything. It apparently bit
buckets the error then SICL seems OK after that.

There is still some SICL problem underneath but it
only seems to impact the first call.

Regards

......Rob

I second that - have the same error message on EVERY RESTART of my
program. Running VEE 4.0 under Windows NT 4.0 96mb RAM, HPIB is
     82341D.

Running VEE 3.21 under Windows NT 4.0
16mb RAM, HPIB is 82341C

After a power cycle we get an internal SICL error
when sending an "EXECUTE RESET" to serial port COM4.

Error 999
Internal Error: SICL call made with bad parameter

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
