Hi All:
I just submitted this to the lab system. Talking to the lab people seems
to indicate to me that it is not too far off of reality.

[VEE] VEE Enhancement Request
* A customer wanted VEE to have "nonmodal" dialogue boxes ... that is,
dialogue boxes designed so that the rest of the VEE program could continue
to run while the user prepared to reply to an active dialogue pop-up.
The request suggested that there be a flag in the dialogue configuration
box to set modal or nonmodal operation. This indicates to me that in this
definition, "nonmodal" only applies to separate threads ... given the current
definition of a VEE dialogue, nonmodal operation could not be achieved in the
same thread (that would imply some kind of event object ... or rather one
object to initiate the dialogue and other to trap the event).
However, simply allowing other threads to operate while one is stalled on a
dialogue box would likely give the users what they would generally need.
