VRF - Converting a string to integer ...

Question asked by VRFuser on Mar 19, 1998
I'm not sure just what your application is, but, if you specify the
data type on the input pin as int32, I seem to be able to convert
from text to int in a simple + object and get numeric addition.
This assumes your text is a well formed number without other
charcters.  Actually, a little playing seems to show that trailing
alpha characters don't seem to bother the text to number conversion if
there is a space, but can confuse it if it abuts the number.  Leading
alpha character seem to cause problems.

This just seemed to be a much simpler solution than some of the others
flying by.
