vrf ActiveX on BarTender6 application

Question asked by paul.fowler on Jun 28, 2001
Richard,

Once you have the Nat card installed you have to create a new vee.io file
that reflects the interface select code. The easiest way to do this is to
edit vee.io with a text editor and use search and replace to change the 7's
to 14's.

Hello Richard,

The good news is that VEE is generally happy with most GPIB cards.  If you
opt for an NI card then you install the NI software drivers for that card
(not the Agilent IO libraries).  Note that the interface select code (ISC)
for the 1st Agilent card is 7 whereas for NI it is 14 i.e. if your
instrument is at address 22 then the address in VEE (assuming NI card) is
1422, or 722 (assuming Agilent card).

Hope this helps,

Andy

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to use a non Agilent GPIB PC interface
card with VEE?.

I am writing an application in VEE to replace an existing one written in VB
and using a NI GPIB card.
Do I have to add an Agilent Card, thus having two cards in the system so
both VEE and the existing non VEE applications will work.
