  VEE 5.01
  IOLIB G.02.01
  54600 scope
  Win98 (operates same as Win95)
  E2050 LAN-HPIB

-- performing a "*RST;*CLS" gives an EOI flag on a bus analyzer connected
to the scope and LAN-HPIB box when EOI is set in VEE Instrument Manager
configuration for the scope.  Eliminate that setting and the EOI goes away.
Add it again and it comes back.

No problem found.  Were you using a bus analyzer to detect EOI?

Subject: Vrf: E2050A,VEE,SICL & EOI management

Hi all,

First of all, maybe this message should be addressed to other forum but ...

We have detected what we consider a malfunction y the E2050A LAN/HPIB gateway.
We do need to assert the EOI line after a write transaction for commanding a
device which is connected to the E2050A.

We're using VEE 5.0 as control software. Trhough the menu 'Instrument
Manager --> Device Configuration --> Advance Device Configuration' we set
the option 'END (EOI) on EOL' to 'YES'.

But the E2050A did not assert the line and hence the handsahking is not
finished and I/O operation can not be executed.

It works properly if using a HPIB PCI card.

SICL version is G.

Any solution, advice or workaround?
Thanks in advance.
