put an alphanumeric display above the picture object.

No. We have had many requests for the ability to read mouse inputs from Graph
objects (generally to read marker position) and considered doing this in the
last revision, but couldn't come up with a clean implementation.

Do you mean, you can actually read HPGL generated by an instrument, and have it
downloaded to a file inside VEE? I tried this a while a go and even asked HP
for support but I never succeeded. I am very interested in your solution. Wold
you be so kind and share some of it?
