> We have provided a single HP-UX driver (the E1412, now on our website)
The advertised E1412 HP-UX VXIplug&play driver was incomplete (missing
the soft front panel) and so I have removed it from the
ftp://fcext3.external.hp.com/dist/mxd/vxipnp/index.html distribution
list. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We offer the incomplete E1412 HP-UX driver upon request.

Sir:
Sorry to take so long to get back but I was pestering the management for a
response ... I finally cornered the relevant manager and asked him why he
hadn't responded.
"We haven't really resolved the issue yet," he said. "I couldn't give a
good answer."
"Well, we need to make a response to show that we haven't forgotten." He
seemed a little confused by that so I said I could handle it ... customer
communications is not a normal part of his job.
In essence, to be blunt about it, our organization is suffering from external
pressures that are reflected in resource limitations and a lot of
prioritization sessions. We had to get the Windows P&P drivers out, but
follow-on to HP-UX drivers is difficult to the resource constraints. We have
provided a single HP-UX driver (the E1412, now on our website) but
determining the policy and plan for future UX P&P releases is now part of an
intense debate over the elements of our UX strategy.
I assure you (without any exaggeration) that this matter is being taken very
seriously; what the resolution will be I am not in a position to say, but it
will be communicated after all due consideration.
