microwire bus

Hello all,

I'm trying to communicate with an EEPROM chip (NM93C66) using the
microwire bus, via my COM port.  Has anybody done anything similar?

It is a four wire interface (Din, Dout, CS & Clock).  I know that VEE
can control the RTS & CTS pins of the COM port via the direct I/O
function.  The opcodes all require a start bit which is OK for VEE.  I
was thinking that I could then just read/write data down the data line.

Can anybody suggest how to proceed, or if National Semiconductor (who
invented Microwire) has a similar service to the VEE reflector?

Thanks,

Tom Evans
