I know when I had to install my HPIB card I had a lot of fun. However, it was
Windows NT that caused my problems not the card. NT apparently doesn't register
everything in the registry. Not all IRQs are accounted for. What I was told
(and what finally worked) was going into the CMOS setup utility at power up and
reserve one of the IRQ lines to use with the card when I installed it. Without
doing this step, NT kept trying to assign that IRQ to something else because it
didn't recognize the card.
Isn't that special.
