Hallo All, Hallo Scott
Thank you for your message. Your tip to lock the close-button(disallowclose) was
known.
But the problem with the other buttons(minimize and maximize) is still there.
The best solution would be to make the whole menu-bar invisible.
But i have no idea how to do this.
Has anybody an idea to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot

% What kind of HPIB card are you using?
In the new computer I am using a National Instruments AT-GPIB/TNT(PnP),
version 2.7.1, NI-488.2 software.
In the old computer I was using an HP82335 HBIP card.
% Do you have other instruments? Do you have problems with them?
8568B SA, 34420A Voltmeter, 7550 Plotter. All instruments are HP.
% Are you using an instrument driver or Direct I/O?
Direct I/O
% Can you do any I/O to the instrument? Can you read its ID, for example?
I can read the voltmeters ID.
% What is the precise description of the problem? Is the SA locked up?
Or does it look like it's just in a panel-lockout mode?
After executing the program the SA should be on local, enabling me to
manually control the SA. However, it doesn't. I am not sure if it locks
up or it is just in panel lock-out mode. The remote light (on the SA)
is on if that gives you any clue. To make the SA go to local I use
the object Interface Operations under I/O->Advance I/O. I think this may be
a problem since under its properties it does not allow for a GPIB
configuration. I am unsure. I tried placing an execute local command under
the SA direct I/O object and it sets it to local, but does not allow me to
print.
% Can you sketch out what you want? I am a little uncertain, if you could make
a little ASCII art diagram it might help to get a good answer to you.
I want something like the Text Input object found under Data->Dialog Box.
The only difference would be in it's pop-up panel.
-----------------------------
| Text Input |
| ---------------------------|
| Enter Text: |
| ----------------------- |
---------> | | | |
| | ------------------------ |
| | ok Cancel |
| |----------------------------|
|
|
|--- Instead of just an input line I want to change it to a drop list and
an input line.
Do you think that is possible?
Thanks,
