vrf Experiencing 'Slow-Downs' Using Vee Development...

Question asked by VRFuser on Dec 23, 1999
Hi all,

I know it's getting a little close to Christmas to put forward something like that, but since I don't finish work until tomorrow...what the heck !!!

I develop software using the following :

* Vee 5.01
* Windows 95 (OSR2).
* Pentium 2 400MHz
* 128MB

Our software 'suite' imports multiple modules (now around Modules totaling around 50MB ! - Unsecured Size).

Whenever 'Run' or 'Stop' is pressed (Once the modules have already been imported) the machine will freeze anywhere between 1 and 5 Minutes before continuing. During this time there is excessive Hard-Drive activity (Sounds like the heads are grinding there way into the disks !!!)

Has anyone else experienced this ?

If so, any ideas of how it could be stopped ???

Would more memory help ?

Any help would be appreciated.

James

p.s. Do have a VERY Merry Christmas, and a Happy 2000 !!!
