Hello Gianfranco,
regarding to your problem I recommend to convert the Main function of your
"Box"-program into a function and afterwards to import the whole program
as a library. Regarding the panel, I do not know if it will survive the
conversion-to-function process.
Further, I prefer to realize panels in form of individual functions and to
bring them to the screen using showPanel() and hidePanel().
Regarding "big" programs : it is always more convenient to have them
implemented in form of well-structured libraries that are imported during
run-time.
Best regards

Subj: Main and User Objects: is it possible to convert?
Date: 13 nov 1997
Dear VEE users,
I use VEE 4.01 under Win95. I have a problem of this type (I'd call it -
a problem of increasing complexity)
I developed a very large program to make some measurements. There is the
Main (of course) and the related pannel. It works fine.
Now I have to set an application where this program is just a part of a
bigger one, better say a 'box', a User-Object, of it.
This seems not so easy.
I tried to Select All and create a User-Object from the original
program, but there are two problems. First, the 'small' problem is that
I cannot 'open' the user-object again unless I unpack it! Second, I
loose the original pannel, and this is a big pity, because it is quite
complex.
Is there any trick?
Or, I guess, do I have to rebuilt everything?
Thanks for your help
