vrf HP8753E Smith Charts

Question asked by VRFuser on Mar 15, 2000
When using the Smith Chart Format with the default R + jx Marker Mode you
can dial in an electrical delay until the "Imaginary" Ohmic value = 0 and
then you read out the "Real" Ohmic value to get the Impedance of your DUT.
Is there a way to forgo adding in the electrical delay and read out the 3
Marker values (Real, Imaginary, and Stimulus)and mathmatically calculate
this value.
This would allow a completely automated test, right now we ask the operator
to dial in the electrical delay then have the controller read the "Real"
Ohmic value.
