vrf filename problem

Question asked by VRFuser on Jul 10, 2000
Cengiz,

Sounds like you are looking at the DOS names for the files.  DOS
STILL has a restriction of 8 characters for the file name while
Windows lets you use a lot more (not sure of the max).

If you open up a DOS window on your PC and do a 'DIR' in the
directory where your files are, you will see a lot of "~" characters
in the file names.  If you use a Windows Explorer, you will see
the full file name for these files.  They both refer to the same file,
they just have different names for them.

Hi All,

My program names have become strange after openning the .vee program.As
an example;

When I double-click the program named creatingdirectory.vee, I see the
"Create~2"
on HPVEE environment.

Is anybody out there who know how to overwhelm such a problem?

Thanks in advance
