Tek 3054 Direct I/O

Question asked by ron.simonson on Nov 28, 2000
Good afternoon,  I believe that all you will need to do
to get a CSV file out of the Tek 3054 is to identify
where the data is coming from:

     "DATA:SOURCE CH1"

for example.  Then query the instrument for the trace
data:

     "CURVE?"

This is pretty much SCPI I believe, which is very close
to the old "Tek Codes and Formats" document.  I don't
know if "Tek Codes and Formats", if it was not just
disregard the reference.  If you could give me a few
more details about what you are trying to accomplish
I may be able to give you a bit more assistance.  You
could just send the CURVe data to a file and plot it in
GNUPlot, MathCAD, EXCEL or whatever plotting program
you prefer.  If this is not what you are looking for
please let me know and I'll try and help out a bit more.

Talk to you later.  Ron.
