Form1 is the fastest way to transfer the binary data because it sends
the data in internal format (24 bits for complex).  I once wrote a dll
that reads or writes the data then performs the necessary conversion
between internal format to float or double format.  I read the data into
a character array but had to be careful because sometimes the data when
looked at as characters included an end of array character.  I remember
I had to jump through a few hoops to insure the whole array came in.

An alternative to form1 is to read the data in form 2 (64 bits for
complex).

WRITE TEXT "Form2;OutpData;"EOL
READ TEXT y CHAR:2
READ BINARY z INT16
READ BINARY S11 REAL32 ARRAY:Npnts,2

The data can easily be converted to complex format in VEE.
