HP reserves logical units COM14, COM15, COM17 and COM18 to National Instruments
drivers, so they are not selectable.
I hope this help,

Has anybody in the group tried assigning more than 13 serial ports in VEE? I
have noticed that serial ports 1-13 are assigned fine but am unable to
assign serial ports 14 and 15. Port 16 assigns correctly but then ports 17
and 18 cannot be assigned. There appears to be I/O addresses that cannot be
used or are skipped. I am trying to assign a total of 18 serial ports and it
would be nice to have the names be contiguous.
If I look in HP I_O Libraries, I_O Config I see that the ports are assigned
Yet after doing a I/O, Instruments Manager, Find Instruments in VEE I see:
This isn't s show stopped since I can map the various Serialn names to
instrument names but it seems that the addresses should be contiguous.
