Hi all,
Apologies if this is not really the correct forum for this topic, but it didn't seem to fit anywhere else!
I have just started using Command Expert to control an MXA. The installation went fine, though it did ask me for a Mat Lab licence which i didn't have available to enter...
The program works beautifully and I have no issues interacting and controlling the MXA through the Command Expert GUI. However no "Command Expert" tab has appeared in Excel. I'm running the 2010 version on win XP...
Any ideas how I get it to appear?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Olly

Just to be 100% sure, you don't see the Command Expert ribbon item like in the attached spreadsheet?
What version of Command Expert do you have installed? Is it 1.0 or 1.1? If you have 1.0 installed, I'd recommend that you download and install 1.1 from www.agilent.com/find/commandexpert
When you run the following command at a commandline, does Excel show up in the list?
*reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Agilent\CommandExpert\Addons*
I have attached a couple of batch files in the *xp ce excel batch files.zip* file. Do the following to try to install the addin to Excel:
1) Make sure that Command Expert and Excel are closed
2) run *install excel vsto.bat* by double-clicking it
3) does the message say that it installed the addin correctly? If so, can you see Command Expert in Excel now? If not, continue to step 4.
4) Make sure that Command Expert and Excel are closed
5) run *uninstall then reinstall excel vsto.bat* by double-clicking it
6) Does the first message say that it was able to uninstall the addin successfully? If not, post the error message
7) Does the second message say that it was able to install the addin successfully? If not, post the error message
8) Can you see Command Expert in Excel now?
