I am looking for the application note for the proper DOD sanitization of this instrument.
Due to the PNA being Windows-based equipment it is virtually impossible to completely erase all user data without also destroying the operating system. The best method for maintaining security is to remove and replace the drive. You can find more extensive information about this subject on the following page outlining our recommendations on Maintaining the PNA in a Secured Environment.
Thank you. This is what I was looking for.
You can also find this paper at the page that KSuiker recommends;
Thank you. This has more in depth information on all memory functions. I wish the PNA's had a removable HDD option like the PSA's and PXA's with a DOD sanitation procedure. As more items have all this memory and these products need calibration and/ or repair outside a secure area. With all the development money for these products a simple and direct way besides another HDD. The PSA's have a procedure but it is cumbersome. It is too bad that there isn't a simple command set to factory default all areas of the unit to sanitize them.
Furthermore, for additional Keysight instrument security information and documents of volatility for other products, you can use the search function found at the following link.
